You already have big SS/large speakers in at least 3 or more rooms. You have big tubes in another. Wanting something different? I don't see how yet another pair of SF and another SS will be that different.

Guess what I would suggest you try?

Agree, 'different' from what you have now (in multiple systems), is what Serge is suggesting.

You already picked Aida speakers, which I assume are warm-ish. The WireWorld cables are neutral IMO. So you are looking for a neutral preamp and amp (of which you have several choices). I say neutral because I think you favor an overall sound on the warm side.

I think the tough call is the source. What is your thinking there?

I vote for the D'Agostino Momentum. paired with an AYRE KX-R preamp.

Lamm copy at 4x the price as far as I am concerned. Same hybrid approach as Lamm, tubes driving a MOSFET output stage.

I can certainly see how these would gain the eye attention as well as the ear Ivan...I've done double takes in the past at these. I'm a sucker for wood anyway...and the way the wood is melded into the actual design of the amp itself (rather than say, an accessory wooden cabinet) is simply beautiful. Unique to say the least, and visually stunning without being overstated. If these amps sound as good as good as they look, they are sure winners.

Then there is the price....


It will be very interesting to see how this shapes up Ivan....

He should have his pre-amp at RMAF to possibly audition. I am hoping he has it a Paragon on the 6th of October. That is two weeks prior to RMAF. Maybe he is holding it for Denver.
