FYI- the Marantz website is showing the following retail price for the SC-7S2:

MSRP : $6,499.99

That still sounds like a great pre-amp deal for $3K, but just wanted you to know the current MSRP.

Not quite yet. The pre was a little 'bonus' I treated myself to after tax season. It would have to be a 'deal' similar to the one with the amps/preamps to get me into one of those.

I suspect Marantz IS coming out with new reference gear shortly. I will wait until then......

Could not wait. I came home early, removed the C46, inserted the SC7S2, and my jaw is still on the floor.

WWWOOWW.

This board has a lot of superb gear-I suspect with the prices people pay they are worth it. I am just not sure how much better this can get.
