2012 US Women's Basketball......Hooray!

I watched the US Women's Basketball team for the 1st time today, playing Canada. I saw names like Maya Moore, Candace Parker, Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi, and thought 'these folks are some big hitters'.

I saw two 'semi-blind' passes made by the US. I call them 'semi-blind', because the passer (with the assist) looks to the goal, and recognizes a play developing, and then looks away from the goal, before passing the ball to the shooter. One of them was made from Lindsay Whalen to the eventual shooter (Maya Moore).

So, there's 4 min left in the game, and it dawns on me 'Griner from Baylor' is not on the team, not that they don't already have enough talent on the team to get the job done......................

Then I did some digging. There are 12 gals on the team. Half of them played at UConn, with Coach Aurie. Is this team dialed in, or what?
