Default IB2i's arrive!

Thanks to Ian for getting us a pair of IB2is before the end of the year!

We will have a review forthcoming and then the speakers will go off to my music editor, Bob Gendron, where they will become his new reference, along with a McIntosh MC452 and C50.

Bob is a hard core rock guy and I know he is really going to be happy with the PMC's!

Great way to end the year!

No problem Jeff! I know these will be rocking for the holidays. The IB2 was actually created to offer the performance of the BB5XBD in a much smaller space. I know you've heard the BB5-XBDA in surround at what can is considered the worlds finest mastering facility in the world (Metropolis Mastering), these are going to touch on that performance.

Tonepub,

Can't wait for the review. Will you be pushing them with some MC1.2Kw's or sweet MC2301's.

Thanks,
Rob

My half of the review will be with the 1.2kws, the new Classe M300 monos, a pair of Burmester 911 mk.3's and the Octave MRE 130 tube monoblocks. I will probably try a couple of smaller tube amps as well. I always try to audition a pair of speakers with 4-8 different amplifiers.

Bob Gendron our music editor and resident headbanger will be using the MC452/C50 combination.

Hi Jeff and Ian,

I'd love to pop over the Columbia and join you for a few tracks. I've heard the BB5's twice and those sessions still stick in my memory, especially with Maurice's
Marvin Gaye outtake.
Still diggin' my FB1i Sigs with the Prima Luna Dialog Two and Mac MC 402.

Merry's and Happy's to all,
Dave Elpers

Ian, I have to agree....

These speakers are just fantastic! My review is almost done and the speakers are on their way to our music editor. I know he is going to freak out when he hears them!!!!

It will be in the review, but I have to say that the PMC IB2i is definitely one of the most enjoyable speakers I've had the pleasure to listen to at any price. On my top five list indeed!

Wow, that is quite the compliment. Considering that you've most of what is out there. Thank you Jeff.

Well, we're trying to get some new people into the fold. In my opinion, PMC has never gotten their due in the US market and I'm going to do my best to change that. We've had a couple of their speakers in over the last year and they have all been excellent!
