Received the Ref75se back today, the faulty transformer was replaced.

Just putting it through its paces now...

This is not an uncommon problem with ARC units dating back the last 10 years unfortunately. My tech (former Authorised tech for ARC in Australia) has a whole bunch of faulty power transformers in a box in his workshop. I am glad Synergy Audio took care of you, their current tech seems to know what he is doing too.

The transformer buzz in my Ref 75SE has gotten worse. It buzzes louder when its been working for an hour, I can hear it easily from my listening chair. It's going back for service, thankfully it's still under warranty..

Added bonus....My dealer has a demo GS150 that he will let me demo while the 75SE is in the shop...Maybe....Just maybe.....well let's see if the difference is worth an unplanned upgrade!!!! Pete

My dealer is almost as good as Ivan putting the whammy on me..what is that spiral in my eyes......I feel...sleepy....take out my credit card...buy expensive silvery box, and more expensive wires......
