Default REF 75 Owners Who Have Upgraded To REF 75SE

I would like to know if you upgrade a Ref 75 to a Ref 75SE does Audio Research drop in a new SE Board or just replaces parts & tubes on the original board.
I hope someone on this great forum knows the answer.
Thanks In Advance
AJ

Normally ARC replaces everything except the case and transformers.

Lost Bears, can you please tell us what ARC updates you've paid for that have involved such extensive parts replacement?

A number of year ago I sent a VT100 to ARC and had it upgraded to a MK3. The only original parts that were kept were the case and the transformers. All the boards were replaced. They did a really nice job and I was happy with the upgrade.

I have sent a few pieces in over the year and have always been very happy with the quality of the work. I have owned ARC gear since the late 1980s. strayed a few times but always ended up regretting it and coming back.

VT100 mkIII is almost totally different amp than VT100mkI/mkII but REF250 and REF250SE are basically same amps with some different components. I'm surprised ARC actually did such service, very nice of them.

I will say this was back when Leonard was there. ARC was like a family. It did not matter how old or where you got the piece. If you owned a piece of ARC gear you were part of the family. They would do anything they could to make it right for you.

Does that mean it's different now?
