REF 75 Owners Who Have Upgraded To REF 75SE
I would like to know if you upgrade a Ref 75 to a Ref 75SE does Audio Research drop in a new SE Board or just replaces parts & tubes on the original board.
I hope someone on this great forum knows the answer. Thanks In Advance AJ |

Normally ARC replaces everything except the case and transformers.

Lost Bears, can you please tell us what ARC updates you've paid for that have involved such extensive parts replacement? |

A number of year ago I sent a VT100 to ARC and had it upgraded to a MK3. The only original parts that were kept were the case and the transformers. All the boards were replaced. They did a really nice job and I was happy with the upgrade.
I have sent a few pieces in over the year and have always been very happy with the quality of the work. I have owned ARC gear since the late 1980s. strayed a few times but always ended up regretting it and coming back. |

I will say this was back when Leonard was there. ARC was like a family. It did not matter how old or where you got the piece. If you owned a piece of ARC gear you were part of the family. They would do anything they could to make it right for you.

Does that mean it's different now?
