Question McIntosh blue meters...

Since my living room now completely empty thanks to recent break in, decided to repaint room, hired professionals as I not good at it. Will have white trim for baseboards, windows but thinking of blue paint by Sherman Williams that matchs blue of McIntosh meters... I am crazy to consider paint that match's meters?

Default McIntosh blue meters...

Spot on man! McIntosh blue.

Now, if you are going to actually get some McIntosh with blue meters, don’t! You don’t want to detract from the “real blue”!

Sorry for the break-in!

As a Painting contractor/decorator I would not advise painting a whole room that intense shade of blue. I think you would find a whole room finished in it really intense and fatiguing. Maybe just a "accent" wall in that color?

Needless to say there will be matching McIntosh preamp with meter's and McIntosh power amp to blend in with the new paint ))))

Dan.......There is such a thing as too much of a good thing. My opinion is an all blue room will be distracting and reduce the visual impact of the beautiful McIntosh blue meters. Contrast is equally as important as blending.

Thought about it and will not do room in blue.
But tired of just seeing different shades of brown, now thinking darker shade of green, not bright color.

Dan.......I think that is a wise decision. I chose a burnt maroon color for my two channel room that turned out to be very attractive with everything else I installed in the room. I wanted a warmth that could never be matched with the color blue.
