So are you suggesting I skip the 501's as a upgrade from my MC252 and go straight to the 1.2kw. Makes perfect sense considering my speakers are rated up to 250 watts.
Dan I knew it would not be long before you go for those big beefy handles Go for it... Like Serge said you can't take it with you.

Lyle......Curious, yes. Serious, no. To purchase a pair of MC1.2Kw's you HAVE to be serious. I'm not. I am very pleased with the MC501's. When you factor in the 400 watts of McIntosh amp built into the XLS112 sub, plus the two 501's, I have 1400 watts in a 12' x 17' room with an 8' ceiling. As far as I'm concerned, I have the perfect system.
