The General's Daughter with John Travolta and James Woods

There is a scene in James Woods quarters where they show a vintage Mac receiver and a turntable right before he gets placed in cuffs and arrested.

Where is the preamp? Couldn't they find an MX110? Should have asked Ron-C.

I am pretty sure Christian Bale's character in American Psycho uses Mcintosh gear into Kef speakers. He turns it on right before he hits his buddy over the head with an axe cuz he had nicer business cards...... lol. Not sure though...
