Just watched this last night.
I'd give it my highest recommendation! A musical flop in the United States and more popular than Elvis in South Africa. What went wrong in the States? I've been deep into music since the mid sixties and never heard of this guy. Not once. No airplay in the States so he was destined to flop. Had he caught on, even a little bit, he'd be as famous as Dylan. Excellent music, a compelling story and really a fine ending. Rodriguez is wiser and more worldly than I could ever dream of being. - Bob

The great thing is that my South African friends of a certain age all see it the same way - Rodriguez was the anthem of their youth. I saw him here in Atlanta and the audience was majority South African. Awesome songwriter - “concrete cold fact.”

It’s a great movie - Kelly and I enjoyed it and also really enjoyed listening to some of his albums.
