Hi Venere,

For me the Magic of the Magico's is in the midrange, so much resolution there which I don't find with many other brands.

In a few years that midrange is the only thing that I will be hearing anyway :-)

LOL on the midrange. Thats why i went with Sonus Fabers. Love the midrange. Certainly not the same as Magico's but very alluring and easy to listen to. What was God thinking to have our hearing deteriorate at the same time our disposable income is at its peak?

Noe of these home tests is accurate unless done under no noise conditions. That means an isolation booth or anechoic chamber.
Otherwise, masking is inevitable.

it may not be 100% scientifically accurate, but with headphones on i could certainly tell that my hearing sensitivity went all to hell very rapidly above 12khz. Maybe in an anechoic chamber i could hear a mosquito fart, but if its 120db down from the music it doesnt much matter does it?

So does everyone's. It is normal, even for a young person.

The issue is how steeply and far down does it go and, for that, isolation from masking noise is necessary. After all, we are talking about threshholds.

Kal, how do you read the graph ?

Two things are surprising: the bump on the ISO line at 1500Hz, the drop after 9kHz. I would have assumed that it would be a "straight (curvy)" line up from 4kHz to 20kHz.
