It's hwat we've been saying for years (mastering is what matters) and I'm glad it's getting into the mainstream.

Totally awesome that it is in the mainstream!

It was sent to me by a bluetooth speaker and iPhone listening friend. Even with their playback system, they would pass judgement on recording quality.

I think one of the issues is:
Lack of education, an "Audio Engineer" generally does not have advanved degrees, if any. They are some one who doesn't build bridges or elevators. i.e. There is no apparent standards or consequence for failing. Look at the credits on your music on allmusic.com and see if you can find thier CV.
