Funny as I didn't even think about it lol. It works fine but would never be my primary source. Lol

The WiFi speed issue is important to me because there no wired Ethernet connection in my listening room. In theory, WiFi should sound the same as wired Ethernet, yes?

Nope from my experience. I pulled an Ethernet connection to my system.

Charles once wrote a piece against it. He said any wifi in the room diminished the sq.

I've never heard it sound great. So many dealers are lazy and use it for Aurelia and stuff but it always is lacking. Pulling two, optical converted runs to my room too. No switches in it as that hurts the sound quality as it adds so much noise.

My understanding is WiFi is bad.

Hi all and happy Thanksgiving! What about Ethernet over power (EOP)? Would that be preferable to WiFi for feeding a QX-5? Thanks.

From my experience, it's NOT bad but just not as good as Ethernet.

Wifi is OK but its not 100% reliable as is Ethernet.
Nothing beats fixed wiring when done right. |
