Default Anyone use Audyssey in their hometheater?

The Audyssey set up, seems to cut my two JL subs too much for movies, but just right for music.

I enjoy heavy bass for movies. (Feel the action)

Unfortunately no memory buttons for two setting. (Music/Movie)

Anyone else feel that Audyssey sets their subs too low??

I use it and agree that it is just right for music. OTOH, it works fine for movies for me, too, but you seem to want more bass. That's not unusual and you can simply bump up the bass level from the speaker level menu for movies. Some AVRs and prepros do offer separate music/movie settings (the Anthem I am using at the moment has this) but is it uncommon.

BTW, what are you using that has Audyssey?

I am not much into HT but the Marantz SR 7005 I does have Audyssey and it works well with HBO etc. I don't listen to music much in that system other than for occasionally searching for new artists on Pandora. It is easy to bump frequencies or adjust channel levels with the unit.

I wish I didn't put off running the Audyssey setup with the Marantz AV-7005, it made a great difference for video games and movies.

I use the top Onkyo AVR with XT32 and external amps.
With memory buttons I would be golden.

Adjusting 2 subs everytime you change a source is no fun.
I am already checking to make sure I am on the lossless tract per movie, as some do not start there.

The Yamaha AVR YPAO had memory buttons, but in my opinion the sound was not near as clean, as the XT32 produces.

You can program a macro to what you want. And another to undo it.

I have an Integra 30.3 that replaced an HK AVR635. The HK had it's own proprietary setup similar to Audyssey and seemed to work better.

With the Integra, it sets things a little low for movies but over the top for 5ch stereo when playing music.

I need to figure out how to tweak the setup for each output choice and component after running the Audyssey.

The HKs Logic 7 mode was better than any mode the Integra has in my setup.
