Mike.......I hear you. I am not a cold weather person.
Living in Florida, I was surprised to see the state's coldest winter was an amazing -2 degrees. That -80 degrees in Alaska is astonishing. These are actual temperatures, not wind chill numbers.

OK...we got 68 and sunny here today but by the middle of the weekend we'll be lucky to break 45. Weird weather...
Oh, let's not forget to set our clocks back this weekend so it'll be dark by 4PM too!

Buck.......It's been dry here in north central Florida as well. Since the little rain we got from the banding off hurricane Matthew, we haven't had any rain since. Fire danger frightens me more than hurricanes. I live in the middle of oak and pines everywhere. When it gets bone dry I start to worry.

We've had some interesting weather up in northwestern Washington this year as well. From the week of July 4th until the end of August we had less than 1/4" of rain, but since the beginning of September we've had over 17". Anybody want some, you're welcome to it, come on up and bring your bucket.
