But I just had to try it. So, Freestone, my advice is scratch that itch.

Starker? As in Janos? Did he switch instruments?

The reason I asked about how low the Petite LaTours went was because if they rolled off at say 35H and you crossed your sub at 20H I think you either end up with a hole that sounds odd or nothing at all. If you cross the sub higher there is the risk that the sub cannot keep up with the LaTours. But, since you have a G2 sitting there, heck, try it.

You wouldn't cross at 20Hz though. My reference to 20 was a general max gain guideline, not a crosspver point.

If the in room of the speaker actually is 35hz, crossover will likely be high 20s. Filters in the G Series are not the same as previous RELs. Again where it is set is completely dependent on the speakers actual not speced performance. Also, if you are to attain the proper integration a Shindo fan would demand, placement of the G2 will be as critical as placement of the mains is.

I have to say that it was Starker's cello that convinced me to go Shindo. It was an incredible experience listening to his Bach suites.

Even hearing his breathing.

The immediacy and the tone of the performance were sublime. No other system felt like that.
