Sennheiser HDVA 600 arrived today

I've heard that HD800 really improves with balanced wire. It sounds great as is for me but I'll have to look into the Sennheiser amps.

Jérôme.......You will be floored by how good the Sennheiser HDVA 600 headphone amplifier sounds. I have just over 50 hours on mine right now and almost 70 hours on the HD800 headphone. The sound is magnificent. If I had to use one single word to describe the HDVA 600 and HD800 headphone rig it would be "neutral". It is invisible. This setup doesn't add or subtract anything from the performance. What it does do is reveal in its entirety everything on the recording. When your source material is extraordinary so is the sound coming from this headphone system. It reflects perfectly the source. I have been enjoying the HDVA 600 and HD800 so much this past week that I have literally ignored my living room and studio systems. They have not been turned on in four days. Yes, the HDVA 600 and HD800 are that good.

I must encourage you to also consider the Sennheiser CH 800 S balanced headphone cable if you purchase the HDVA 600 headphone amplifier. The total package is the only way to go.

Gene.......The Sennheiser CH 800 S balanced headphone cable is the icing on the cake. It improves the 3D nature of the sound stage and seems to add a bit more space between voices and instruments. Both the Sennheiser 1/4" phone plug cable and the new balanced cable sound excellent, but the balanced headphone cable enhances the HD800's performance enough to make it a worthwhile purchase.
