Default Late Night Listening and Stax Earspeakers.

More specifically, can the sound quality of a headphone system sound better late at night when the electrical usage of a house, apartment, building and neighborhood is lower? Any comments are fine.

Yes. Less noise spewing into the lines. The best power cleansing product I have experienced is the Furutech Flux-50 inline power filter. It simply works profoundly without any question, excuse or BS!

I would think seeing as the headphone drivers are so much closer to the ears than loudspeakers things like clean mains power make even bigger differences. Of course you could go the way I have gone and go for battery power, inky black SET tube glory!

For me what makes more of a difference is the fact that everything is quieter due to less noise pollution. Being able to listen in a quiet environment, due to most people being asleep I think is more beneficial then so called dirty mains. My portable headphone amp is battery powered anyway.
