Is that like a Bose?

Did anyone read the Tone Audio review of the Bose 901?



I'd would venture that we'd all be impressed with a Bose 901 mated with a MA7000.


At the end of the day, for a 9K system (Bose 901 & MA7000) many of us would do something else.

Think your all so baaad? I've just brought one, yes, it's the Sony ( good make that) fm/am walkman SRF-59. Elegant in it's brushed plastic facia, and with a light blue outline to it's flywheel -the 0.5c variety- side operated manual scroll, it's atmospheric controlled hiss makes it at times a pleasant listen, esp on the ocean. Nice sound volume body, with a THD of barely 30%, very pleasant on bike rides with the big boy transmitters sounding best, and i picked up a nice amateur reggae station too.

I slept on my top of the range Mp3 player and can only charge it with elastic bands, and it makes a very nice substitute. I've laughingly got a year's guarantee on it; what will give way first, the on/off button, the flywheel, or
the FM radio signal?

All told, it's the best £22 I've ever spent on hi fi, and slightly bassy bargain ear buds work best, my upscale-ish IEM's are a bit at sea.

With that said, if one wanted an easy all-in-one system for around 3000.00, Bose may be the answer.

I have an acquaintance that was looking for a one box solution a couple of weeks ago. He had no interest in spending a ton of money. I recommended this to him. It's not bad for the price. It's a simple solution for people that want something easy for them to figure out how to use.

A McIntosh Integrated amp (with some McIntosh Speakers) is simple to use
