Cyril & 'cisco... Vicoustic=awesome! Been quite happy with the performance of the vented & fluted Quadraspire Sunoko racks & prefer them acoustically to the SolidSteel 5.5 which I had previously. As each shelf is decoupled with the rods, there is some slight footfall. I will go under the house & finish putting some more floor joists in!

I would like to get something under the MT10 & would be happy to try a few things. To begin with, I will try some Vibrapods with 1mm balsa discs underneath because they are cheap & easy to get... Not sure if I want to go way of the bicycle tube but I'm open to suggestions...

Try a Ginko platform. Do a search on Ginko isolation platforms -- Vin is a great guy. YMMV.

The footfall issue will most likely not be cured with a Gingko, if it were air born vibrations or vibrations with in the gear itself that's where the Gingko would be effective and works great. The motion a footfall produces is just way to much energy for the Gingko......I have had the line for the past five years and thier products in my systems in hopes of eliminating the footfall problem in my current room but they actually made it worse......The fix was going under the house and reinforcing the floor joist and adding jacks.

Jeff, that was my problem (joists over a crawl space) and it didn't really help as was your case. I eventually sold the Ginko & the owner was pleased that he no longer experienced issues with his heavy foot traffic. That in turn made me happy.

Suggested the Ginko as Vin is a great guy & makes a nice product. Everything is system dependent -- tweak "A" may work in my system & have different results in someone elses.

BTW, that's the new MC2301 on the bottom rack (for the centre channel) which was turned on yesterday. It has octet matched GL KT88s & TFK ECC801S pair to boot. Plus Herbie's tube rings on all.

Steve.......I am impressed with your system and the way you have set it up. It is gorgeous. I must admit the MT10 looks good sitting on top of the rack above the other amazing McIntosh components. In fact, yours is the first MT10 I have seen that looks like it belongs where it is placed. Well done.

Dan...Thanks for the compliment...it's getting there...When I am finished with the new power runs, I will take some more pics & post showing all 3 racks.

Steve -- it is a gorgeous layout - I've looked at the photo numerous times and the light colored shelving w/black uprights just accentuates the McIntosh gear and says, "I may just be a rack, but look what my job is & for whom."

Thanks Bob...wait 'till you see the CA cart! The clubell side-rockit will be worth the effort.
