Gary.......I listen to both systems about the same number of hours, but my favorite system is the 2 channel system in the studio. That's where you will ususally find me in the evenings.

Bill.......The dual digital temperature gauge monitors the temp in the two lower shelves where the MC601's sit. Each shelf has a fan that draws air out the back, and I monitor temperature of each shelf space accordingly.

Here is a link to when I originally installed the fans, speed controls, and temperature gauge. http://www.audioaficionado.org/gener...installed.html

Beautiful setup. The whole arrangement sets the expectation that you are in for some serious listening. I would love to hear a system of that overall quality.

David.......Thank you. I spend about four hours a day in the studio, sometimes more, almost always after dark.

Joe.......You're right, I have high expectations for good music coming from all of my systems. The atmosphere in the studio is so relaxing. I usually dim the lights, and often turn off the meter lights on the preamp and amplifiers. It is a wonderful experience.

For those who are seeing the studio/home theater for the first time, let me explain the set up. There are two completely separate systems in this room, neither of which share any part of the other system.

The rack on the left with the C1000C/P, MCD1100, Olive 04HD, MR88, Michell Gyro SE/Ortofon Cadenza Black, Magnum Dynalab Signal sleuth, and the two MC2301's on the amp stands, plus the two Sonus faber Anniversario speakers make up the two channel system along with the PurePower 2000 AC regenerator that sits in the right hand rack supplying power to the two channel system only.

The rack on the right is the home theater system, with the MX120, BDP-95, Hughes HD satellite receiver, and the MC452 that powers the front left and right channel JBL LSR6332 speakers on the wall. The center channel speaker, and the back left and right channel speakers are active bi-amp JBL LSR6328P speakers with the amps and crossovers mounted on the rear of each speaker. There are two McIntosh XLS112 powered subwoofers that round out the home theater system, along with the Sony 52" XBR widescreen television.

Serge.......The studio is a very cozy room, just the way I like it. I seldom have more than one or two other people who care to listen to the system, so for the most part I am the sole occupant. Honestly, that's the way I prefer it. Lots of sound deadening materials went into the construction of this room and the studio control room, so it is very quite, and really adds to how deep you can hear into a recording without distractions. The other nice thing is I can enjoy my music at any hour of the day or night without disturbing anyone, something I dreamed of for many years when I was younger. There is no doubt about it, I am passionate about enjoying music. Thank you for your kind words.

Dan, you did that in style! Beautiful!

One question: did you ever consider integrating the 2 systems: connecting the 2-channel and theater set-ups so that even the movies are heard through your wonderful SF Amati's?
You could then replace the center by a Sonus Faber center to keep the cohesion in your system, and by selling the front three JBL's and the MC452, you would even get (quite) some change...
