An "Audio Expert" Falls Flat
The Audio Expert
Ethan Winer “Years ago I noticed that the more educated someone is about basic electronics, the less likely he or she is to believe in the superiority of expensive speaker wire and other audiophile myths.” I have been reading this comprehensive treatment of audio knowledge and am learning so much, but when I came across this sentence, I just shook my head. I am increasing my understanding of basic electronics--the quote above is at the beginning of Part 5, Electronics and Computers--but this newfound knowledge in no way conflicts with what my wife and I clearly heard when we temporarily replaced our inexpensive Kubala Sosna SCs with Shunyata Anaconda SCs. So I wonder, are the fine people here on AA uneducated in matters of electronics? Does Mr. Winer possess some knowledge--and from his book, he sure knows a lot more than I do--that is unavailable to most of us here? I was just stunned to read that sentence. 雪国 by 川端
Snow country by Kawabata. He-he, very slow reading with dictionary and notebook. BTW, when I get bored by continuus dictionary lookup, I am reading in background Stranger in a Strange Land by Heinlein. One my friend gave me that masterpiece, and insisted that I should read it

I watched the movie "Emperor" which caused me to want to know more about General Douglas MacArthur, so I'm reading "American Caesar" by William Manchester. I am also reading "Deconstructing the Twinkie" which is about the chemicals in our food.
