I have a similar automations question:

I have:
-a light triggered, 12 V trigger (Niles LS-1).
-McIntosh C2500 (with MEN220 & MC275- all Mctriggered).
-AppleTV 4
-Sharp 80" with optical cable.

How do I trigger the C2500 on/off with a 12v trigger out activating Passthru Mode?

The current method of using the C2500 remote works. However, automation through voice or app is becoming more interesting. I want to turn on the AppleTV 4 via remote OR voice command (of an Apple HomeKit scene).

Currently, the AppleTV 4 powers the TV on via HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronic Control). But, the TV doesn't have an IR out or Trigger out to power the C2500. The C2500 has IR IN and Passthru. Can I convert a 12V signal to the McIntosh IR signal for ON/OFF?

I know that this is a very old post and you may already have found a solution.
What I use is a universal remote (Logitech Harmony). By pressing one button (or saying a command if connected to Amazon Echo) you can have all the devices turn on or off.

Hi- I did this and then my Harmony was no good. Logitech’s Harmony system didn’t renew its licensing and in few more weeks will intentionally brick the hub. They will provide users a new one at little to no cost, but I was put off enought by this issue that I moved back to the stock C2500 remote to do everything. Thanks.

By the way, I understand that only the Logitech Harmony Link Model is being affected/discontinued.

The Logitech Harmony Hub Model (the Model that I have) is still in production and is not affected.
