Default Mytek Brooklyn is an audiophile dream component

The Mytek Brooklyn is more than just a digital converter, it's also a preamp for your turntable.

The Mytek Brooklyn is a seriously impressive component, and its combination of truly useful features and stellar sound quality will have strong appeal to audiophiles seeking a top-notch converter.

Jim.......Thanks for posting the link to Steve Guttenberg's review of the Mytek Brooklyn DAC. His impressions parallel a number of other reviewers comments about the Brooklyn. I am quite interested in this DAC and may spring for one to install with the headphone rig in my office. Most small stand alone DAC's don't appeal to me but the Mytek Brooklyn has captured my curiosity. I am pleased to read one more reviewers positive comments.

Jim.......Aurender N100H and Mytek Brooklyn with full MQA decoding from Tidal has to be the cat's meow for price to performance at this time.

I am teetering right on the edge of ordering a Mytek Brooklyn DAC+ and an Aurender N100C (USB and coaxial output) for my living room system.

read that the Mytek Brooklyn works great with SPDIF, USB connection not as good.
I think the review was in the august issue of Hifi News

N100H deserves a DAC with a good USB connection. (or use a N100C)

You could use the N100H with the Schiit Eitr, to convert the USB from the Aurender to S/PDIF for the Mytek. Only $179, and a superb convertor.

Or Mutec MC3+ USB, but that defeats the purpose a bit in my opinion, there are DAC's which are "known" for their excellent handling of USB. As the N100H handles USB very well, pairing it with a good USB DAC sounds logical.

By the way, I am not saying that the Mytek Brooklyn is a bad DAC !! (had my eyes on it also, especially to give MQA a try)
