Even thought I now use Roon for about 80% of my listening (Sooloos get the other 20%) I still learned a lot from that video. |

Here is were I am at. I Just got a new PC which will be dedicated to audio. I intend to put MC23 on it. My old PC has MC20 and my library on it. I am very reluctant to send my music folder to the new lap top as I am worried I'll need re-tag and find artwork again. I was thinking of just starting out fresh with MC23, just place the new stuff I buy on it. I am trying to figure if I can run 20 and 23. Will I see it as just two different sources on DLNA? Or will it cause conflicts and confusion.... making it undo-able. |

By the way, JRiver uses the term "library" to mean the program's own catalog/index files, and that does NOT include your actual music files. You will have to move/copy those manually. You can edit the JRiver library configuration to have tags saved in the music files, not just in the JRiver library. You have to do that one field (tag) at a time. I have done that. It means that when I install JRiver on a new machine and import the music files, it gets all the tagging data from the music files, without my doing a library backup and restore. You can run two versions on the same computer without any problems. At least, I've never had any. You also might like to ask about this on the JRiver Forum. I'm sure many, many users have done what you want to do. And many of them know a lot more than I do. I have to say, the main shortcoming of JRMC is that the documentation is sketchy and scattered and not always clear about terms like "library." HTH Last edited by Mike-48; 09-25-2017 at 11:04 PM. how does this help with organizing box sets, missing artwork and even tacks without names?

I was able to find out how, seems it's a default setting and I am good. Do I understand you that I can keep MC 20 on PC and MC23 on another (each a separate library) and I can pull/push music from either? DLNA Last edited by eljr; 09-26-2017 at 09:14 AM. |

For example, my home network has MinimServer running on a NAS and MC's DLNA server running on a PC, as well as the DLNA server built into the Auralic Aries. The DLNA control point lets one choose among them. |

What Roon endpoints are comparable to the Aurender N100C or N10 sound quality?

Rossini, Bricasti have Roon end point built into the dac- that's the future

However, if you keep your tagging/artwork fully embedded (like JRiver does), then yes, you can move around (i.e. push/pull) files between machines as you wish and have distinct libraries. DLNA is about file compatibility for playback with 'renderers'; file sharing is a function of your operating systems.
