Default Slower Cable TV

My McIntosh MX123 CAB/SAT HDMI input is connected to a Cable TV device.
My TV is connected to the McIntosh's HDMI Output.
All new AudioQuest Cables.
Iv'e notice that after adding the MC 123 , in that connection , the Cable device is a bit slower response .
( stations doesn't chang fast )
I'm using fresh Cable TV Device remote and batteries. .
The MX123 is in a standby position.
Is there an option that the MX123 have bad influence on that ? As before adding the MX123 I didn't hav such an issue.
Thanks

PS: maybe a preferences changing. ...

Others may have more specific advice on this, but FWIW, I have two MX-151's and a MX-136 and I dont bother using the HDMI input selector on the McIntosh whatsoever. I just pass it the audio, and send the picture directly to the TV. HDMI handshaking, encryption, etc., is just not something any of the high end manufactures (McIntosh especially) can seem to get right.

Try switching stations with the same resolution and compare the time to switching with different resolution. Hdmi chipsets require reclocking and new handshake when switched between say 720p to 1080i. Some devices do this quicker some take longer.

^^ Very valid observation. You may also check the video output resolution setting on the cable box. If it's on auto this can play into the problem. I set that to the highest resolution possible and let it do the upscaling when called for.

The cable technician say , Lots of electronics around. maybe that's the problem ...
I'm afraid to think that Changing to Power Amp like Mcintosh - is possibly the reason.
