"Miniature Wonderland"; reported to be the largest Model RR layout in the world; they even have police chasing criminals, cruise ships on adjacent water, their own scale international airport with active operations, etc....
While I think some particularly the last one posted and John Allan's work are the most beautiful, this one strikes me as a "must see" if I were to ever be in this part of the world; https://youtu.be/ACkmg3Y64_s |

I think Serge posted this awhile back, regardless, very impressive.

There is a book called "Model Railroading with John Allen" by Linn Westcott. I think it is out of print but is worth the effort to find second hand. John Allen was a genius...

He redefined and set the standard for what could be achieved and new methods and techniques for doing so.... That book is amazing...I have had a copy for a long time and I take it out periodically and reread it cover to cover 'falling into' every photo out of amazement! |

John Allen’s railroad was definitely one of the best. The other one that I rate highly is George Selios who built his Franklin and South Manchester in Peabody, Mass. George marketed a line of wonderful craftsman kits, Fine Scale Miniatures, which were works of Art. |

Definitely...Selios is legend for his layout and the quality of his kits.
Found this today online...it seems Rod Stewart is one hell of a rail buf and has a great layout... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbi...el-railwa.html |

Yes, Rod Stewart is a well known model railroader. When he is on tour, he takes multiple rooms so he can do some modelling!
I went to visit George Selios around 3 years ago. His layout was sensational. I’ve built a few of his kits. Quality is wonderful! A number of top stars are railway modellers. It’s really surprising. |

Just recently got back into the hobby after a 30 year layoff. Model all HO, and looking forward to building a nice size layout as soon as we move to our next home.
