Hey thanks. The switch I bought was different, I couldn't find one that looked like the one that was installed. I'm not worried about installing but yes I'm more concerned about damaging the case/finish. That would be awesome if I could just send it over. There a way to contact you outside this thread? Thanks!

Those open baffle speakers look absolutely beautiful! Analog, I am drooling over my keyboard. I have never heard them with an SET(really never period), so I am so curious as to how they differ from the Heresy's.

I talked at length to Steve Deckert of Decware. He highly recommended the Betsy open baffled speaker from Randy of Caintuck Audio for my Inspire 45 set. You can see them on the speaker section of Decware.com. Have you heard of them?
Come to the toy shop and we can talk. Maybe one of the Inspire speaker sets will decide to follow you home....

Dennis and I have been loving our Madisound bk-12 so I made us each a pair or these larger brothers. A therapeutic exorcise during the stay home/safe period. I was finally able to deliver them as you see in the photo’s. These were really a fun project but not likely an addition to the Inspire line.

Now, as for open baffles, Analog and Dennis worked up a speaker a while back which there are some picts floating around. A very nice sound and quite complementary to the Inspire line. Again, Analog can elaborate. We are also discussing a open baffle design using a Great Planes driver. I’ll keep you posted on any further developments on that project.
The set of 15" open baffles is a one off of the Inspire speaker line we were working on. I talked one of our collaborators into making a rough set up/prototype similar to the shape of the Inspire speakers just to see what a pair of Altec 604-8B I had lying around would sound like. Add the magic of one of DJH's crossovers and away we go!

Dennis has invited me to come to the toyshop mid-July. Hope to see you then!

When I saw this post, I ordered them same day. Took about a month to get them + adapters.

#1 I love GEC as a tube brand, they make amazing kt66 as well (spendy tho)
#2 Kt8C having parameters close to 6L6 was a deciding factor, as I love 6L6 sound.

Surprised I never heard of Kt8C before your post.
Have them burning in now, will give some impressions after a couple hundred hours.

Snap impressions, delightful. Clear, articulated, macro dynamic.

You should give 807 tubes a try. I've found them to be quite good overall with excellent soundstage and tonal balance. They are also considerably cheaper than KT8C.

Apparently the KT8(C) was a British attempt to improve on the 807 with limited success.
