Obviously the local repair place didn’t find the root cause of your issue since it is in the same channel each time. I’m sure McIntosh factory or Audio Classics can repair this fine amplifier.

Any update on this?
Honestly, I doubt it will cause a house fire. I also had the right channel go out on my Mc2000 caused by failed KT88 tube(s).
