Optimal seating distance for 4k 65" and 75" tv's ?
We are very happy with the TV, but the acoustics of the room are seriously compromised now. There is a very pronounced bass drone and some nasty comb filtering resulting in an annoying mid to high fizzle.
This weekend we had Bart and Meta visiting and the sound was a disaster :-( We are expecting new sofa's and are planning on buying a new rug. Pending the outcome of how these will impact the room acoustics there are several options. Go with the Illusonic IAP Add room treatments A combination of both A new challenge for sure. Any tips are of course very welcome. Regardless, it was a joy to meet Bart and Meta. Last edited by JemHadar; 11-01-2016 at 05:42 AM. |

I started a separate thread about our visit. http://www.audioaficionado.org/homet...-liesbeth.html My tip: do room treatment; TV against the wall, move your radiator to make that possible. Speakers 1m from the back wall, thicker curtains and rug. We'll convince Liesbeth after a couple of good bottles here.
