Big ms300 mystery
Ok I have no idea how this could happen!!! But it did. I have had the ms300 powered up for about two years. I never disconnected it even though it does not work ( the blinking red light was blinking all the time and I could not get it out of standby) Any how, I came back from vacation and looked at the system and saw that the red light was no longer blinking (steady red light when I turned on the entire system. The MS300 is now working ?????Very very strange. Any ideas how this could happen? I loaded some music and it worked like it should. I guess it must be magic

What the hell !! Reading you post has now brought me bad luck. I wanted to use my MS750 two days ago and it is dead !!!
When I bought it a few years back (new in box) I took the advice to install one of those wall wart driven power supplies so that the unit wasn't running directly off the wall. I figured that would take care of those main power supply issues. Of course I didn't bother with an UPS for the wall wart. And here in CT, we live like 3rd world countries with power drop outs quite common. I guess one of those took out the unit somehow. Right now, all it does is make a brief (1 sec) whirring noise, then nothing at all for 10 seconds or so, then the cycle repeats non stop. No lights, no nothing, except for the noise. Any ideas? Or is this another MS on the trash heap (I've already got a dead MS300)? PO'd here in CT.
