It's probably me, but i prefer the 105 when the unit is used as a DAC with my mac mini and audirvana + than when it's by the internal player.

Hi, this is indeed good stuff. I would incline for DLNA streaming over internet, that way
I don't have to buy a wireless card for the PC (it has bluetooth but that won't do it).
Thanks so much for the offer. Once my project is done and the tax refund is back,
I'll do some damage...

Sal

Do you mean reading off a thumb drive, for example?
I (also?) feel like that's a little flat compared to mac mini, audirvana+ to oppo.

I've been hearing of this type of high praise for the ModWright Oppo 105 from others as well! Dan as usual is much more understated in his comments and comparisons, but I think it is safe to say that he has put together a big winner with his updated mods for this player. I am hoping that I will be able to work out replacing my 95 in the next month...getting very excited to hear one!

I've been in communication with Dan during the past few days and now have things confirmed officially - I will have a ModWright Oppo 105 headed my way with an ETA of March 29th! I'm very excited!

Congrats...may I know what else you opted for? Bybee rails (if so, how many?), Audio Magic Pulse Gen ZX, etc? I wanted Cardas XLRs but was told they wouldn't fit. I would have preferred those instead of all the Cardas RCAs that won't get used.

Cheers.
