I will have a final listening session with my dealer coming to drink my wine on Thursday. Although the 151 would fit optically perfect, I just can't hear any improvement.

so,089 and S10 can be sold, and only keep 151, correct ?

Unless you spin more discs than play files.
I think the transport in the 089 is more robust than that of the 151.

This was an interesting evening. As the 151 sounded as good as the 089 with the Aurender S10 as a digital source we connected the 151 to the digital input of the 089. Our expectation was that this would sound best. We were very surprised when we listened to it. This sounded worse.

I have no explanation.

Ecki, indeed this is strange.

I would have expected the 151 had better DACs because it is 6 years younger, but your findings so far do not reveal big differences.
Thanks again for your impressions, because this unit is/was on my shortlist of new source.
