Default The .7

Nothing new here for sometime. How about the new Magnepan .7? Was checking out Peter B's AV Showroms videos of the recent Newport Show and there was Wendell Diller of Magnepan presenting the new .7. It's the little brother of the 1.7 and will be taking the place of the 12. Sounds like pricing will be around the same as the 12. Wendell was taking a poll on which stand they might be using. I currently am using 1.6's for my rear speakers and was thinking of trading up to the 1.7's but these might be a better option. My wife will like the smaller size, of course.

Hi magnut,

I can't comment on the 12's but the 1.7's are really nice. I had them for about a year before moving up to the 3.7's. Yes most wives like something that is inconspicuous in the room. I finally moved my system out of the living room into our finished basement. That sure made a big difference. I still have a bit of dialing in to do but at least now I have the space to do it. I wish you the best in your speaker upgrade quest.
