Having seen it firsthand, this little system is impressive.
When I first saw the Devore, I thought they would sound muffled and unlike what I'm used to. The 225 looks wimpish and who the hell puts a 300B in a preamp. That all went away when Jerome pressed play. The Devore make you fall in love instantly. The 225 goes way above its weight. I even put Dogs from Pink Floyd, a track I know very well and which is quite demanding. The 225 made the Devore sing beautifully. If you hide the 225, you'd have no clue that a 50+ year old amp is playing. It's really crazy how well it aged. |
