I have no doubt those 4401's are good sounding speakers. If they're anything like the L112's I had years ago, they have to sound good. They're great looking little things, too. Glad to hear the new TV doesn't interfere with the 4401's either. That's a good thing!
Charles...they are definitely good sounding little monitors, and even better with a subwoofer. I was tickled to acquire another pair that I made a project of rehabbing. (I discuss this a bit in another thread).

Next on the agenda for this system will be the walnut cases for the EQ-2 and DL-2; and after that I'll be replacing the speaker cabling. That will be a bit of a project as the cabling goes up into the wall and through the attic and then to the 4401's.

Yeah Pete, I think I'd hold off on the new speaker cabling until winter gets here. And I saw that other post about the other 4401's.

I might just have to get a pair one day just to see what all the hub-bub is all about. Or just come over to have a listen to yours.

Default Still Active?

Hello, I've read this thread with much interest. Always wanted to acquire a set of the Distinction Series components.

I have the full-sized rack for these but was never able to get my hands on the full set of amp/pre/tuner/eq and finally just gave up. Still have the rack with other Crown gear in it.
