However, since each Niagara 5000 provides a transient current reservoir output of 90 amps, there should be no problem. The 2.1KW will be in the middle and the 3500's on the two ends. I will need an additional AQ HC Hurricane power cord. I will trade in my three 1.25KW's. I am so glad that I waited on the new 2.1KW.

Charles… just an FYI, the Niagara 5000 spec of transient current reservoir output of 90 amps; is only for 25mS or 0.025 second. There are 1000 milliseconds in one second.

That isn’t enough time for a single kick drum; much less a complex bass track playing at a reference level.

The mass of the Niagara 5000 is only 44lbs. I use a bank of 40 RGPC-1200S on my dedicated lines. They can store over 1,000 amps, for over 5 minutes. They weigh over 2000lbs, and cost over $95K.

Those that have heard me Demo Edgar Winter’s Frankenstein, know exactly what I’m talking about.

Ivan, thanks for the information and I don't disagree. Your system is beyond compare to mine. However, mine will play plenty loud let me tell you. My Thor is extremely efficient, sensitivity 93db. The biggest bass blast that I have is about 900 watts. My 3500's never exceed 350 watts peak and on these bass blasts require maybe 100 watts/ch. 1100 watts per side should be more than enough. My Thor couldn't take over 1500 watts. I will check of course with my Mac friend but I believe that he will say that 1100 watts per channel total is more than enough reserve for my room and system. Most of the time my 1.25KW is just loafing at 1.2-120 watts. 120 watts handles 99.9% of all my bass. I have two bass blasts that require about 700-900 watts. It will be the quality of the bass not the quantity. My TAS friend has stereo Subsonics and has about 500 watts/ch for them which is way less than the output these subs are capable of. I think that he needs much more power to adequately drive them. Wilson Subsonics are sensitivity of 87 db whereas a Thor has 93 db.

BTW, I went to the Wilson website. They have a new replacement for the Watchdog called Submerge that is powered. Apparently the Thor has been discontinued, I assume because of lack of sales. It's exactly the same as the Subsonic, but with a utility cabinet that is not as well braced. I discussed all this with Wilson before I bought my final Thor. My plinth setting on acoustic diodes and the horizontal lie more than make up for the slightly less well braced cabinet, still made of X-Material, and my drivers are superior to the Subsonic in that they are 15" but made exactly like the Subsonic 12" woofers otherwise. A subwoofer system like mine is extremely expensive. My new Thor/2.1KW system will retail in for 100K. I assume that the new Submerge is the Thor's replacement. 99.9% of folks that are purchasing an XVX will undoubtedly go with stereo Subsonics. My case is special. There should have been no way my XVX should have even fit into my room, and my Thor's placement perfectly complements my XVX. There simply is no room anymore for the Thor in the Wilson lineup. It's too much for anything other than an Alexx V and the much less expensive stereo Submerge's will be the choice for the AlexxV customers to have a reference system below the XVX most of the time. The new Submerge will also be the choice for the Alexia V.

Funny thing about power; I have seen my Power Guard lights on my MC2KW’s more often than not.

They aren’t the only amps driving them either. The MC2KW’s are on the Bass drivers; MC1.2KW’s on the mids of each, and MC1.2KW’s on the highs.

That's quite amazing. I have never had my mono 1.25KW's Power Guard to go off or even close. I just had a long conversation with my Mac friend who is a senior engineer at Mac. He has access to all the information about the 2.1KW's. Even the Anniversary Edition can be purchased as an individual mono unit. In regards to the watts, he says that 1100 watts per 20 amp line for a power module and a 3500 should be plenty. I did discover that the control module requires its own power cord so that I will be using my third Niagara 5000 after all. He was the one who charged the engineers at Mac to come up with their Solid Cinch binding posts. The old binding posts were known as Thunder Bolts according to him. He did not like them at all either. They were a copy from a company that Mac owned and sold.

Thank you, I have also decided to bite the bullet and purchase an Anniversary Edition C-12000 and MCD12000, in addition to an Anniversary Edition 2.1KW later on this year, not right now. I need to get closer to Aug 8th or beyond although the money is available right now. I'm really looking forward to this new gear. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity that I can't let pass me by. So we shall see. I hope the Anniversary Editions will still be available for the 2.1KW's.
