Office set up
Good morning!
Need some input, I'm about to finalize my main system. Not that I'm bored or running out of options to spend cash, I'm simply just pumped to continue with the office. Currently I'm considering a streaming only set up. I was planning to use the MA 252 as the headunit. I defintely want to go with either SF bookshelfs or B&W bookshelfs. Alternatively, I'm looking into Accuphase but that is another story. I want a very "warm" system, something for playing some jazz or classic after work with my wine glass in hand. Anyone in the same boat? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

I think the 805's deserve a listen.
Not on your list, but the Totem Sky is also a nice sounding speaker. |

The SF Minima Amator would be a great match for the MA252.

I had 805D3s in my office and I loved them. Only reason I no longer have them is I consolidated to a more expensive single room theater.

I have 805 D3s in my main system, 706 S2s on my TV, and CM-1s at my lake house. All are great. The 805s are in a very different league than the others, so if you have the budget I would go there.
Nevertheless, the more modest B&Ws are warmer, so if you're looking for very warm, the 705s or 706s might still be worth a listen. All of these need a bit of distance from the rear wall, and all will benefit greatly from a subwoofer. I have a DB3D with my 805s, and a REL T5i with the CM-1s. Good luck!

Check out Parasound Hint and Dynaudio Contour 20. That's my office setup, it's great. I had the MA252 before the Parasound, it slightly outperforms it IMO, especially factoring in the higher price of the Mac.

My work office is approx. 12 x 15 and I used a pair of Harbeth P3ESR with a Rega setup. I was completely surprised by the tonality of the small Harbeths. My only Harbeth experience.

I have a 9x25 office where I have my main 2 channel setup (separate A/V system in the living room). FWIW, running a c2500/MC402 with Sonus Faber Sonetto Vs...obviously these are larger than what you are looking for but I have to say, the Sonus Fabers blow away my old Bowers CM6 S2s...but they should, the Bowers were bookshelves, but they did sound great until the Sonus. I'd look at the Sonetto bookshelf line if I were you. they certainly outshined the 700 series Bowers, but they should, they're better speakers. As for the 800 series, I can't say. But in general Bowers sound too bright for me but I'm more clinical than some with my listening style. YMMV

Sorry for my late response, im traveling a lot these days.
I don't really have a budget for what I have going on but I want the system to be more compact than the main one. Of course, I know its going to be more than what I think anyway so I'll leave the financial figures out for now. I just want top notch bookshelves and a warm (tube) amp with it. Maybe turntable later.
