I agree with Myles. I thought the show was fairly well subscribed for a weekday and expect higher traffic today.

Although I arrived late yesterday, I found some very good sounds from the few rooms I have visited so far. I particularly liked Jeff Catalano's Highwater Sound room featuring TW Acustic amps and turntable with the latest Horning Eufrodite Ellipse speakers. I also found Bill Parish's GTT Audio room with Audionet electronics, Kronos turntable and YG Hailey speakers captivating. I am looking forward to discovering more great sounding rooms as I move about today. VAC/Focal, ARC/Vandersteen, ARC/NOLA and Nagra/Stenheim are among those on my radar for today.

There are lots of opportunities to pick up favorite albums of all modes (vinyl, sacd, cd, high rez files and even a high rez usb card that I had never seen before). Vendors include Ref Recordings, MA Recordings, Acoustic Sounds, Elusive Disc, among others.....I think I have already burned my budget for this trip splitting purchases among them last night! Too big a temptation to pass up.

I am looking forward to the Computer Audio Optimization session by Audioquest and to the Vinyl Ripping session by Channel D (Pure Music). Should be informative. There are lots more seminars but only so many hours in the remaining 2 days of the show.

It's unfortunate that work and health circumstances have thwarted so many AAers plans to attend but there is always next year.

Jim

I hope you guys are right about today's attendance. But if you were here last year, there was a lot more to see. It even spilled over to another hotel. And the music sales had a lot more vendors.

Anyway look for me, I annotated my badge and I'm wearing a Wilson audio shirt (wore my AA shirt yesterday!)

No need to apologize. Your health and well being is far more important than any Audio show

I hadn't been to the show before and I really enjoyed myself there going to the listening rooms and Can Jam.
