Good choice, Travelpro makes a great bag. My son is still using my first roll-aboard, a Travelpro purchased in the 90s.

We find 4-wheelers so much easier to move thru airports, etc. I do with a 22" for 4wk trips as is all leisure and will do a weekly wash, as needed. I go with the cheapest, decent (subjective) I can find. Local dept store has them for <$50 and I consider a bag to be a 'wear item'. They last a few years and then need to be replaced. With 4 or more trips a year, they get plenty of use, so amortized across 20+ trips they are plenty cheap enough. In fact that reminds me I need to put my Orvis luggage on eBay. Haven't used it in years.

Two-wheels holds a bit more. However, once you have had your first back, shoulder, hip or knee MRI you’ve entered 4-wheel country, especially if you spend much time making connections in large hub airports like Atlanta, Charlotte, Philadelphia, Dallas, etc.

I swear by Rimowa. Very expensive but virtually indestructible and amazing customer service. They would repair your luggage anywhere in the world and sometimes in the hotel you're staying.

PS: I hate carry-on as well and one of the thing I hate the most travelling is having to fight for overhead space.
