Wow, nice stuff there. I can compare the looks of Accuphase and McIntosh! Both have their merits, they look very classy, but I think the Accuphase wins by a small margin. This is because I prefer say, silver or other metallic faceplates over black. Regardless of the blue meters!

Thanks guys! I still have a soft spot for Mc as I love the black glass and chrome.
...... but like you Dave, I also prefer not to have all black components but...... I love the blue meters..

I see. That's cool. Those meters sell the equipment just as much as the sound quality, I suppose! But the Accuphase meters are very cool too.

I just am so lucky, that i got an E-470 on trial, my dealer is really great, just let me loan it, has never been played on before so i am the first one.
Was a little weary over the look, but here in the rack it really looks good.

The sound right out of box , is really good, much more information also at the bottom end, but not boomy....seems like voices and instruments are much more lifelike.
If i keep it then it will replace my AudiaFlight Pre and FL.100

I think i somewhere did read that Accuphase really needs a long time to come to its right ?
And i am using Yter cabling balanced from an M2Tech DSD, that he also kindly let me audition, despite i told him i was actually only interested in how the difference of that dac would be compared to my small argon.
CD-Player is an AudioAero Prima, that i run through the DAC using a Audioquest Carbon coax.
My loudspeakers are Focus Audio FS788, and i really think they do a tremendous job in my small listening room , 5,8 meters * 3 meters.
Hope that maybe Ivan can chime in on the amount of hours before an evaluation of this amp is possible ?

If you feed the 470 with a high end power cord, it'll give you even more enjoyment.

Is there anyone, who can tell me about my thoughts on trying out the WireWorld Silver Electra 7 , how good are they ?
Will also share my cabling´s if someone should be interested to help with suggestions.

Certainly impressed with mine, though it is not used with an Accuphase integrated amp. Was an immediate improvement over the high end PC it replaced.

Has anyone encountered the speaker protection feature with the E-470?
When the volume is cranked up to very loud level's the music stops and the meters flash until the amp is turned off then on again.
I wonder if there is a way to disable it?
I understand that the eco mode can be disabled with some of there new products.
