Default ARC REF Phono 2 in and it's outstanding...

Just got the REF 2 in this week and fortunately it had hours on the clock, so no tedious break in.

This is truly an amazing phono stage...

Review in issue 31..

The best part of the job! But I'm jumping off the cliff on this one. It's staying when the review is done.

Jeff...looking forward to the review of the REF Phono 2. However, it sounds like ARC has come out with a new non-reference preamp (PH6) which supposedly has a lot of trickle down from the REF Phono 2. It's not surprising for a $12K phono to sound great. It would be interesting to see if you could do a comparison down the road of the PH6 with the REF Phono 2, to see how much of REF Phono 2's sound you can get with the PH6 at a price point that is considerably more affordable. Thanks

I've heard the PH7, 5, 3 and the past REF. I'm sure we'll get the PH6 at some point.

You don't require a pre with your Meridian set-up Howie. Sounds like you are getting a case of the LuFlu.
