I attended one of his outdoor concerts at Little Stony Point in Cold Spring, NY several years ago. He was raising money for the park, which was not far from his residence. I sat about 10 feet away from him. His voice was pretty much gone but he fed the young crowd the words of the songs and we all sang while he played. Turn, turn, turn, Where have all the flowers gone, it was a lot of fun. Nice man. The music was always in his head and heart. R.I.P. Pete.

He got an impressive tribute in our newspaper today.
He was dedicated to music and the human kind in general... We used to sing along a lot of his songs. They really had a message.

Good musician with bad politics. I guess this might be true of most musicians depending on your point of view.
