Just to be clear I was not criticizing SF's design. I was really commenting on how products that look "similar" (i.e. Aida, Lilium and Futura) on the outside are very different on the inside with only the lute shape common.

When speaking to a couple of the SF design team at a Paragon event last year they noted the Lilium started out as a 4 box design with separate woofer units. They didn't start out to build a big brother to the Futura. When they ended up with the current Lilium design they priced it accordingly. That it fell between the Futura and Aida was not a design goal. (At least that is what the indicated. )

I LOVE the looks of Il Cremonese and Lilium. The Walnut would be my choice. Obviously, Il Cremonese is priced to compete against the Strad, it better be a phenomenal sounding speaker too. I have come around on these new designs. Lilium and Cremonese are home run designs.

Having owned

Auditor/Auditor M

Guarneri Memento

Cremona/Cremona M

Elipsa/Elipsa Red (just bought this to hold me over for awhile)

Amati Futura

Never been of fan of Strads, even at accommodation pricing, and crazy because I like the Elipsa Red. I do like the new direction of the company and look forward to the Cremonese
