Why do you have to rub it in? First on AVS, now here? Yes people, he will receive these now, but cannot share his thoughts until at least March. So I can see no purpose to his declarations other than to tease the living be-geezus out of us. A cruel man, this "Kal" (if that's even your real name! ). As someone who is afflicted with a condition you might be aware of (an acoustic neuroma, aka, vestibular schwanoma), I'm now going to turn my bad ear towards you so as not to be abused any further. I am looking forward to your review, however, I should be receiving my 8801 within a few weeks, so it will likely simply be confirming what I will already know by then. Never before have I been such an early adoptor, but I just don't see how I can go wrong with this unit's capabilities and price point, given Marantz' reputation and success to date.

Do drop a hint along the way as you've done in the past.

Has anyone gotten a ship date for their unit or know typically how long after reviewers get units Marantz will start shipping orders?

Shipping has begun. They are hitting first customers now. Guessing I should see mine in next few weeks.
