Thought I might as well throw in my tuppence worth...

Recently moved from a pair of OB1s to Fact 3s with 4Bsst and BP25p.
A pair of DB1+ and DB1+ center for A/V purposes supplemented with a REL.

Just a quick question to Jeff - I saw your link to those outriggers. Do you think these might work for the Fact 3 stands? The spikes are just stupidly awkward to adjust so thought this might be a solution...

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave.......yes they will work but may look a bit odd with stands.

Thanks for the feedback Jeff...

I'm not too concerned about the looks and after some measuring I don't think the smallest ones stick out too much.
After reading a little user review I came across, the chap said they were great for what they are but the only 'criticism' as such was that the suppied bolts didn't fit quite well:

"I upended my speakers (XTZ 99.36 Floorstanders) with the intention of removing the threaded feet and simply using the existing threaded inserts to attach the outriggers, unfortunately life is rarely that simple. The bolts that come with the Soundocity outriggers, whilst the same diameter, are a different thread density, being somewhat coarser than the ones employed by XTZ. As I didn’t have any other bolts the same size I decided somewhat cautiously to remove the XTZ threaded inserts the replace them with those supplied by Soundocity. Despite me owning the only 50 piece Allen-key set which doesn’t seem to fit anything I have ever bought, I eventually manged to replace the inserts and still maintain a firm base for the outriggers. I was especially careful not to overtighten the inserts as I was pushing my luck re-threading these into MDF."

I'd rather not have to go through any hassel to try and fit these things - I don't suppose you might have any practical experience if the bolts fit into the metal plate?

ta

Dave

Dave.....When I had the outriggers on the EB1i I had to get different bolts than the one's they supplied and as I recall they were metric thread but forget the size....I brought one of the threaded spikes that came with the speaker and matched it up.....

Just joined the legions of PMC owners by purchasing the set of TB2i monitors that Jeff had listed in the 'MarketPlace'. Looking forward to their arrival early next week. Will be bi-amping with the Bryston B-60R & 2B-LP. Just ordered a custom set of Kimber Silver Streak ICs with a 6" jumper and 0.5m IC to interconnect the B-60R and 2B-LP. Likely have the ICs and speakers at about the same time.
