Default Separating truth from conjecture with Aston's Valkyrie

So it will have a Cosworth V12 engine, and a hybrid battery pack both for torque and going to the shops to buy your groceries, it will develop over 1.8 tons of down force at high speed, have a button to raise the car for going over street furniture, and the seats will be custom fitted to the owner, which they should be when it will cost as much as a Chiron.

The BHP combined might be 1160, the weight might be 1030 kg. Or slightly north of that for the finished car, which might come out in '18, or in '19. When you consider the Chiron, with 1600 BHP takes around 35-37 seconds to get to 250 mph, the Valkyrie doing the same in 16-20 seconds sounds a bit odd, as does 10 seconds to 200.

With Adrian Newley as the designer, a chap who has designed three F1 championship winning car's for three different teams, and Aston going with a top battery company and input from Red Bull, the Aston quality seems to be there, and Adrian is saying he put all the tech in the car which isn't allowed in F1. The problem is the release date. If it came out tomorrow and the figures are true, it would the fastest road car out there, esp if you have to twist the steering wheel to go around a bend. But if they wait to release it in '19, other top brands might overtake it. Already Mercedes have an effort, with more creature comforts in the cabin, but it won't compete on performance. If all is true, it should be quite a car.
