That said, many warmer speakers out there, inherently so. No right or wrong.
I think many systems are warmer than that one. Though to be honest, when I hear music live, warmth isn't an adjective that comes to mind. While I value warmth when it's in the recording (and who knows what's actually in a recording, unless you recorded it yourself), I value information retrieval far more. The Magicos obviously retrieve a lot of detail, though I didn't feel as though it was thrown in my face.

I am a soundstage, palpability, and imaging freak though, and my issues were with those three things.

But beyond that, it was an amazing system, and I can see how anyone could have it and me immensely happy. As you said, no right and wrongs in this game.

It was a great night once again of hearing a speaker I had never heard and sharing our passion for audio gear with others like us.

The Magico Q7 mkII is a great speaker capable of revealing just about everything thrown at it without breaking a sweat.

For me, however, though all the detail was there, for me as well there was a slight coldness and sterility to the sound that never was capable of engaging me.

Many others may like this sound, but not quite for me.

As explained previously, though we all share the same passion to get the best sound that out budgets can withstand, our systems overall are all built on our own ears and the sound we all feel is engaging to us.

Through sharing our experiences and our systems with others like us in this club, ultimately we will all be able to upgrade our systems to the best they can be.

Looking forward to our next meeting

Heck yeah!

Group is a great amalgam of ears as well.

I look forward to the next meet. Then shortly after I think we will start the house tours, then after that we will have audio topics (dac shootout, cable shootout, preamp shootouts, etc)....

Lots to do.
