Let's see...600 hour break-in for, at most, 10 hours a day will take an additional 60 days for ARC to ship your piece to your dealer.
I'm thinking that's not gonna' happen.

(and that doesn't include weekends)

I think the Teflon caps were tough to break in properly. I've had no issues with the REF10. It was great from minute one and just gets better.

Since its mostly tube gear I think it would be appropriate for ARC either to:

1. Supply 2 tube sets so that the user isn't using their one tube set to break the stuff in
2. Ship the products already broken in

I think this would be a huge marketing/customer benefit for ARC and eliminate the biggest complaint regarding purchasing ARC product.

After all, the more they sell, the longer they will be around....
Shipping the product broken in I don't agree with, I want the new pre smell in the morning
Perhaps the extra set of tubes is a go but would be turned into a payable option by the bean counters who couldn't see an excellent PR move if it date raped them. I do think you're onto something though.

Man, are you going to get the big stick handle & all when you put this pre up for sale Mike...... Just ribbing ya, but you do give it the juice when an opening appears. I'd love to hear one in my system, but i know that will never happen where I'm at on the map.

I've never sniffed an ARC, but I have to agree that there's nothing like that NIB smell when the juice starts gushing for the 1st time!

As for tubes, I think it's a personal thing & it would be nice for a vendor to offer some choices.

Maybe I'm too simplistic. I see the break in as part of the journey...

Oh I know.....but never say never Kev. You may find your way to Florida one day. We have Gators (not too many crocks). I know about the ribbing....it's all good. Without guys like me to try new gear, things would get boring! It's all about the journey. Enjoy the ride and stay thirsty my friend.
