Thank you for the info Lucho, most interesting, I manually re set the timer yesterday as the O'L Yank Your Plug routine saw no positive effect, Should the anomaly continue you have provided a line of inquiry I can pursue through my dealer.

Makes me curious if there is a way - some button press combination for example - to learn the version of the software. An Audio Research easter egg as it were.

Well, my Ref10 managed to retain true hours after two power-ups yesterday, rather strange to be back in single digits, We shall see!

tima....I was wondering the same myself, however whilst still under warrenty I rather suspect that my dealer/distributer would be less than enthusiastic about me messing around in its guts, attempting an update/flash of any firmware.

Some additional info; the firmware update required special equipment called a programmer unit provided by ARC with a six pin connector that connects to the microprocessor board on the REF10. To verify firmware simply select the gear icon on the REF10 touchscreen for settings. Select “About” from the menu. That menu displays the Version information. After the update, my upgraded REF10 shows Firmware 1.6. I don't recall what it was before but Firmware 1.6 is supposed to fix the tube clock issue. I can confirm that I have had no issue after the update and I have put in about 250 hours of use since. So I assume that any REF10 that has 1.6 firmware or above should not be subject to this issue.
